Below are the results of our most recent audit into missed appointments at the practice for the last quarter:-
1st January - 31st March 162 missed appointments = 44 hours & 40 minutes of lost surgery time
Wherever possible we try to remind patients of their dental appointments by text message or by phone
To help assist us with this we would be most grateful if patients would update their personal details to ensure that we have the correct contact details. On some occasions it may not be possible to remind patients of their upcoming appointments and so we would like to politely remind patients that these reminders are a courtesy and that each patient is ultimately responsible for attending their own appointments. In order for the practice to be able to keep waiting times down and be able to accommodate emergency appointments we ask that you cancel appointments at least 24 hours before you are due to attend. The practice reserves the right to charge for missed appointments without prior notice.
Did you know our practice provides a range of Orthodontic Appliances to help you achieve the beautiful straight smile you have always wanted?
Dr Babita Kainth is a specialist in Orthodontics and holds clinics on Tuesdays and Fridays. A private consultation is £75.00. Payment plans for treatment can be arranged. For further information or to book an appointment please speak to the ladies on reception.
Implants - free Hygienist appointment and a free implant Oral Hygiene Kit *worth over £100*
Do you hate the thought of Dentures to replace that missing tooth? Have you ever considered a Dental Implant? Dental implants are surgically fixed substitutes for roots of missing teeth. Embedded in the jawbone, they act as anchors for a replacement tooth, also known as a crown, or a full set of replacement teeth (Dentures). Our Principal Dentist Dr P K Mahapatra has a special interest in Implants. A consultation is £75 and can be booked on a Thursday. Payment plans for treatment can be arranged. If you require any further information, or would like to book an appointment please speak to the ladies on reception. *exclusions apply
Tooth Whitening - Zoom Whitening £299* (normally £499)
Would you like a brighter, whiter smile? Tooth whitening is a cosmetic treatment carried out to improve the appearance of teeth. Teeth are whitened to remove the effects of coffee, cigarettes, and other substances that permanently stain or discolor teeth. Furthermore, aging also causes teeth to loose their bright color. If you are interested in tooth whitening or require more information please speak to your Dentist at your next appointment. *offer expires 31st July 2017
*previously had teeth whitening carried out? Following recent changes in legislation, we are now required to check the fit of whitening trays annually in order for patients to be able to continue to purchase ‘top-up’ syringes of whitening solution. To help simplify this process, it would be helpful if patients could bring their whitening trays with them to their regular dental check-up appointments so that their trays can be assessed. This will help to avoid the need for patients having to make extra appointments just to have their trays checked.
News in Brief
The practice is to undergo some routine maintenance over the next couple of months. We are getting the decorators in for a much needed make over, this will start in September and take a period of 10 weeks to complete. The garden is also about to have a much need clear up and make over in July. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause over the coming months. We appreciate your understanding.
We would like to remind patients of our payment terms and conditions. Payment for dental treatment is due on the day of treatment. For larger treatment plans, such as those involving crowns or dentures, our payment terms are 50% deposit prior to the start of the treatment with the remaining balance due at treatment completion. The practice accepts payment by Cash or Credit/Debit card. The practice NO longer accepts payment by Cheque.
Staff Training and Meetings
To help maintain our high standards of care we undertake regular staff meetings and training sessions. This means on some occasions the practice will be closed for a very short period of time during normal working hours. The practice participates in annual CPR and medical emergency training this year it will take place on Wednesday 12th July 2017.
A Friendly reminder to patients with young children
It is the patient’s responsibility to make appropriate childcare arrangements for young children in their care when attending a dental appointment. Unfortunately our team members at the practice are unable to supervise young children due to practice policy and the practice indemnity insurance which only covers patients being treated within the dental surgery. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
